So I don't forget what month one entailed, I am going to write down some of my favorite things about these first, precious four weeks.
Noah, you are one beautiful little boy. Everyone says that about you. When you decide to open them, your eyes are captivating! You now turn your head to follow faces and objects and sometimes, you will turn your head towards mommy or daddy's voices. You LOVE to stretch! After every nap and especially each morning, you stretch your arms high for a good five minutes. And it is precious. Soon after the stretching comes the gas! You have no shame letting out a lot of gas each morning. You take after your father and he and I laugh about this almost every morning. Each day, you have 'tummy time'. So far, you are a champ at this. You pick your head up and move it from side to side, after some grunts and pouting of course. Just the other day you hung out on your activity mat for 20 minutes. You were so content and just looked at the bright colors and objects hanging above you. We think you are so smart. Noah, you love to eat! So much so that your dad and I describe you as an "aggressive and zealous eater". You grunt and squirm around when you know you are about to get some food and it is hilarious! Once you have filled your belly, you are a new man. So relaxed...and so adorable. One of my favorite times with you is when we are rocking in the glider and you have just finished eating. You love to lay your head on my chest and coo like crazy. You smile in your sleep and it makes my day. We have taken you on walks every chance we get and thankfully, the weather has been wonderful for strolls through our neighborhood. You used to just sleep the entire time, but lately you've been wide awake. So far you have seemed to love our evening walks. Well, except for that one time last week when you began screaming when we were about a mile from home. The only thing that calmed you down was if we held you.... so that we did. I'm sure the neighbors thought we looked like typical, distraught new parents. We quickly walked back home. Daddy, pushing the empty stroller and me, holding and comforting you.
